COFCO’s Own Online Shopping Website Launched Release Time : 2012-03-20

COFCO Corporation launched its own-developed online shopping website, www.womai.com, on August 18, 2009.

The online shopping market is expanding rapidly in China recent years, the total turnover of which amounted to RMB 130 billion Yuan in 2008. Online shopping is more and more popular among Chinese consumers. B2C online shopping websites is witnessing huge market potential. Besides, COFCO is China’s largest grain, edible oil and branded food enterprise boasting rich resources and great strengths which have already laid the cornerstone for COFCO to develop its own B2C online shopping website.

COFCO started its investment in developing this website from 2008, which features its size, security and variety. The website is devoted to convenience for consumers in shopping. What consumers buy on it will be delivered to their homes.
