On March 31, COFCO launched a ceremony for making commitment to food safety, which is among about a hundred of its kind making such commitment.
During the ceremony, COFCO, together with its subsidiaries, made legal, moral and technical commitment to offer safe and nutritious food. COFCO also introduced to consumers the whole chain model of food safety by various means such exhibition, presentation and consumer experience, and welcomed public supervision.
The whole chain model of food safety means that COFCO guarantees quality from raw material production to end user consumption. And any link of the whole chain is traceable.
The ceremony was also attended by central government officials who reiterated the critical significance of food safety and highly praised COFCO and other commitment makers for actively undertaking their social responsibility.
