American Fortune Magazine released its Global Fortune 500 List for 2008 on July 9; COFCO ranked 398th with a sales revenue of US$ 21.202 billion, its 15th consecutive year on the list.
The number of Chinese mainland and Hong Kong companies on the list increased from 24 last year to 29 this year. Sino Pec ranked 16th, followed closely by State Grid and Petro China, the only three Chinese companies on the top of the list.
Topped the list still is Walmart, with a sales revenue of US$ 378.799 billion.
