The goal of the forum is to further enhance the level of cooperation between centrally-administered SOEs and Hainan, seize new opportunities brought about by Hainan’s comprehensive deepening of reform and opening-up, and jointly promote high quality development of both centrally-administered SOEs and Hainan.
As one of the first batch of centrally-administered enterprises that invested in construction in Sanya, COFCO Corporation has persisted in leveraging its own industrial and commercial advantages since 1995 up to now to continuously step up investment in grains trade and real estate industry resources, and push for overall upgrade of Yalong Bay and construction of beautiful countryside. After over two decades of meticulous development, it has developed Yalong Bay into a well-known tourist resort, thus becoming a pioneer of initiating tourism and vacation industry in Hainan. On March 14, 2019, in order to boost the construction of Hainan Free Trade Zone (Port), COFCO Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sanya municipality according to overall planning of Hainan provincial government. Under the agreement, COFCO Corporation will give full play to its industrial advantages, implement the development concept of city-industry integration, spare no efforts to build Sanya Free Trade Zone (Port) and create “high efficiency” and “high quality” showcase window.
