Recently, COFCO Corporation was included in the list of “China’s Top 100 Enterprises in Foreign Agricultural Cooperation 2017” and topped the list by a big margin.
COFCO Corporation not only focuses on its core businesses of grain, oils, sugar and cotton but also expands its global presence with access to strategic resources by constructing warehouses, ports, and logistics facilities in the world’s core grain production regions such as South America, North America, Australia, and the Black Sea area. Its operational network covering the world’s major production and sales regions enables COFCO to make full use of “two markets and two types of resources”, serve the needs of China’s grain security and food security strategy, and ensure that “Chinese people firmly hold their bowls with their own hands”.
For the purpose of further cultivating excellent agricultural enterprises and pragmatically promoting foreign agricultural cooperation, China Agricultural Association for International Exchange compiled the list of “China’s Top 100 Enterprises in Foreign Agricultural Cooperation 2017” based on recommendations by local governments, appraisal and review by experts, and opinions sought from industry societies.
