COFCO chairman Frank Ning visited Bangkok, Thailand from March 11 to 12 to attend the 1st meeting of the Joint Steering Committee for Sino-Thailand agricultural products trade cooperation and discuss matters concerning cooperation in rice trade between China and Thailand.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Wang Xiaotao, deputy director of China's National Development and Reform Commission and General Chatchai Sarikulya, Commerce Minister of Thailand.
As China’s enterprise to implement rice trade with Thailand, COFCO Group conducted in-depth exchanges of views on cooperation in rice trade with its Thai counterpart and achieved consensus on several issues.
Ms. Yang Hong, senior general manager of COFCO, general manager of the COFCO Wheat Department and general manager of COFCO Rice Division was also on the visit.
