China’s delegate of enterprises visited Greece on June 19, 2014. The ceremony of signing business contracts was held in the Palace of Zappeion. COFCO signed the strategic cooperation agreement with Boutaris which had over 130 years of wine making and became the latter’s exclusive partner in China.
COFCO had signed similar agreements with the Moueix Family and Chateau Kirwan in France, the Concha y Toro Group in Chile and the Delicato Family in US.
Greece is the place of origin of wine. It has over 2000 years of wine making and drinking. Boutaris was established in 1897. It was the first chateau in Greece. It has 10 chateaus in Greece and France. It is the leading wine exporter in Greece. It has been honored as the Best Chateau of the Year by the Wine and Spirit magazine for the 16th consecutive year.
