On the 12th Global Forum on Chinese Hotels held on the 17th and 18th of March, 2012, MGM Grand Sanya was nominated among the best 100 and awarded the Best Ten Tourist Resort Hotels of Asia Prize and the Best Architectural Design of China Prize.
MGM Grand Sanya was located in the center of Yalong Bay. It had 676 rooms of different styles, including 596 standard rooms, 74 suites and six deluxe beach villas. It also had 12 dining and entertainment venues which are also different in style and over 4,000 square meters of deluxe conference venue with top equipment.
