The 10th anniversary of COFCO Plaza was held with the theme of "Elegant Life, and leading a Fashion" on COFCO Plaza is a well-known commercial property developed by COFCO. It is a high-grade commercial property, integrating a set of modern office buildings into fashionable shopping centers. It is located in the Jianguomen business district, east of Chang'an Street, with an area of about 120,000 square meters, including an eight-storey fashionable shopping mall, and two Grade-A office buildings of respectively 13- and 14-storeys. The well-known enterprises such as COFCO, HSBC, Proctor & Gamble Corporation are located there. The shopping center is equipped with the international famous furniture shops, boutiques, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, banks and post offices, which provide comfortable and convenient services.
On March 5, 2000, COFCO Plaza was awarded "the arch gate" quality gold medal in Paris, France by Europe BID Organization. By the end of 2003, COFCO Plaza was granted the title of 2000-2002 National Top 100 stars overseas Chinese enterprises by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. In addition, COFCO Plaza also obtained certifications of ISO9000: 2000 and 14001:1996 Quality Environmental Management System, which symbolized the double recognition on the management system of home and abroad.
Ning Gaoning, chairman of COFCO attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He noted that COFCO Plaza has raised the reputation and image of COFCO; and the sound management of COFCO also has enhanced social status of COFCO Plaza. He also proposed the wish that COFCO Plaza will develop with a rapid speed with the development of COFCO. Chairman of HSBC Beijing Branch, Chairman of da Vinci's, general manager of SUBOKSUNG and customer representatives all proposed a better future for COFCO and COFCO Plaza; at the same time of enhancing the value of its own assets, greater room for growth for customers will also be brought about.
