Mr. Zhu Futang, Assistant President, attended FoodEx Japan as the team leader of Chinese exhibitors, which was held from March 2 to 5. He was also invited to the Sino-Japanese agri-trading seminar during which he introduced COFCO’s value chain quality control strategy.
COFCO is the exclusive agent in China, entitled to organizing Chinese exhibitors for the event. At this session there were over 140 exhibitors from China. COFCO did an excellent job in promotion, organization and booth construction.
FoodEx Japan is the largest and the most popular in the Asian-Pacific region. It presents a myriad of variety and produces an enormous transaction volume. Taking the opportunity, COFCO built a separate booth of its own showcasing its products of the wide variety under the same roof, like Great Wall wine, China Tea, Fortune cooking oil, flour and rice, Le Conte chocolate, CerealWay instant noodle, BBCA fuel ethanol and bio-chemicals, and CPMC packaging products, which attracted the spotlight.
The seminar was held by China’s Agriculture and Commerce Ministries for the purpose of promoting to Japanese consumers and consolidating their confidence in China’s high quality agri-products from the food safety side. Local international trade associations and industry peers were invited.
