The Hua Zun Cup, an award set for China’s liquor and spirits brands jointly by China National Association for Liquor and Spirits Circulation and China Brand Strategy and Research Institute, found the first most valuable wine brand, COFCO’s Great Wall, in Beijing on September 12.
Great Wall wine had been playing the leading role in the strides that China’s wine industry had made in the past 30 years, said Mr. Chen Gang, general secretary of the Hua Zun Cup brand value evaluation committee. Wine was widely accepted as healthy drink and took deep roots in people’s diet, which was also increasingly more of vogue today, to which Great Wall wine contributed tremendously as leading China’s wine industry.
As industry experts said, Great Wall wine was China’s top indigenous premium wine brand and won a number of awards and accolades. It was leading China’s wine industry in sales volume and market share for years and seen as the barometer of China’s wine market. And it was exported to over 20 countries and regions including France.
The Hua Zun Cup event was organized for China’s 60 National Holiday, during which COFCO fully showed its wine brand image. For its authoritativeness did over 500 branded liquor and spirits suppliers participated.
