According to the Fortune Magazine issued on July 9, COFCO corporation ranked at the 335th on Fortune 500 List 2009, better than last year’s 398th. COFCO has been on the list for 16 years in a row.
There are 43 Chinese companies on 2009’s list among which COFCO ranks at the 26th and is the only food company on the list.
The top 10 of Fortune 500 2009 are Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil, Wal-Mart Stores, BP, Chevron, TOTAL, ConocoPhillips, ING, Sinopec and Toyota Motor.
