COFCO Corporation held a ceremony for the opening of COFCO Cereal Way Foods Limited and the introduction of relevant new products, which was organized in the new company’s plant in Fangshan District of Beijing on October 22. By carrying out the whole value chain control strategy, COFCO Cereal Way Foods Limited have made successful innovation in instant noodles, which did not stop at the nonfried level but continued endeavoring in developing better taste, which aims not only to inherit the traditional health concept but also cater to consumers’ taste demand.
The first introduction brought consumers six new brands of instant noodles all of which were developed solely by COFCO Cereal Way Foods Limited, pursuing the concept of Nonfriedness = Health + Taste which beat the traditional old fashioned one. The new products are made from high quality raw materials supplied from internal sources and are developed to be able to better satisfy consumers’ taste needs.
COFCO Corporation made an important step nudging into the instant food sector and carrying out its whole value chain control strategy. It has a good flour processing capacity in the upstream of its value chain. And its oil, seasoning, flavor and fragrance products lead the market. It will continue innovation by use of synergy of its value chain in order to offer consumers nutritious and healthy food.
According to analysts, the successful introduction of new instant noodle products by COFCO Cereal Way Foods Limited should be attributed to its parent company’s advantage in the value chain. The ceremony was attended by top officials from Beijing Fangshan District Party and Government and COFCO’s senior corporate management all of whom were confident in the promising future of COFCO Cereal Way Foods Limited.
