Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy Group Co., Ltd. initiated and contributed RMB 6 million for its commencement to Mengniu Eco-Grassland Fund which is the first of its kind in China and devoted to grassland preservation and development. The news was publicized during the Eco-China Experience event which is for public welfare with the countrywide coverage and the opening ceremony of which was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
The Eco-Grassland Fund is based on public offering countrywide. It is devoted to eco-grassland and eco-culture construction and at the same time eco-grassland preservation platform construction for corporate, non-government organizational and private volunteers.
As sources introduced, the Eco-China Experience event was aimed to providing people opportunities in experiencing the ecological enchantment of the nature in person so as to encourage people to participate in nature preservation, which is organized jointly by the National Afforestation and Environment Protection Commission, the State Forestry Administration and China Green Foundation.
