COFCO’s Huaxia V, one of the Grant Wall wine brands, was awarded the silver medal by the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) which was held in Valencia, Spain, during April 25-27, 2009. The Huaxia V wine is China’s only indigenous wine brand achieving a medal for this year’s CMB wine challenge. There were a number of world-known wine brands in the medal achiever list, such as France’s Bourgeois, Spain’s Cavas and Argentina’s Bodega. Over 6,000 wine brands participated in the challenge.
The Huaxia V wine is brewed in Changli, Hebei Provine, where one of COFCO’s three top-class chateaus is located. It pursues purely natural style and is carefully brewed only in COFCO’s Changli chateau. One mere sip will keep its mellow bouquet never fading away in your month. The Huaxia V wine won good reputation among wine masters from many countries including France, Italy, Australia and US.
As Mr. Wu Fei, General Manager of COFCO’s wine business, said, COFCO kept sustained devotion to quality improvement for Great Wall wine and for consumers. The silver medal would drive quality upgrading for China’s wine industry.
The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is devoted to evaluation of wine and strong liquor. Its evaluation is well-known as independent, fair and stringent, and its wine challenge is one of the world’s most influential, the International Wine Oscar as people called it.
