On the first Member Meeting of the 8th World Processing Tomato Council (WPTC) Conference in Toronto, Qin Yelong, General Manager of COFCO Tunhe, was elected Vice Chairman of the Council.
WPTC was set up in 1998. It’s the world’s largest and most important organization in the industry and is responsible for coordination of industrial activities and formulation of industrial standards.
Mr. Qin’s election demonstrates Chinese tomato industry has had more influence on the world.
In August 2007, COFCO Tunhe successfully organized WPTC China Visit, sponsored by COFCO and China Can Industry Association.
